This artwork is a tribute to my little sister, Zali, whose Aboriginal name is ‘Tirrike’ which translates to ‘Happiness and Hope’ in Peek Whurrong language. 

"It reflects the deep connection we have shared throughout our lives. Growing up together, our bond became inseparable. Whether we were exploring, sharing stories, or just supporting each other through life’s challenges, every moment strengthened our relationship. 

This piece captures that essence, the intertwined roots of family and the journey of our relationship, which continues to grow with time. Tirrike’s spirit is strong, and this artwork is my way of honouring her and the love we’ve shared since childhood"
